Cego Antonio e um cordelista da região do vale do Cariri – Crato, Juazeiro do Norte e Barbalha – que aprendeu a tocar e fazer Cordel, quando escutaou pela primeira vez uma declamação e pediu aos colegas que comprassem Cordeis e que também lessem. Com o tempo desenvolveu seu cordel até que nos dias atuais, como ele mesmo disse “não vejo nada e escuto muita conversa”. E ainda declamou “peço aos ricos e peço aos pobres, a todos que me aprecia, eu peguei minha viola com prazer e alegria, canto noite canto dia, para todos que me convêm, homem paga e mulher paga e menino paga também, pois menino tem ouvido do tamanho que homem tem”.
